Good question, and it’s kinda vague in the rules. I don’t see rules for wandering monsters, so I don’t see why theoretically one couldn’t rest up in ANY room that’s been cleared!
Very interesting game. When I have more funds likely to get this game. I just picked three other games by Blackoath Entertainment. I already have Across a Thousand Dead Worlds.
I just have the pdf. I was a third through the rules and got side tracked. After reading an actual play of the game, I got interested in it again. But still haven't finished reading the rules.
Okay now this resembles Four Against Darkness a bit with the “dungeon delve”. Are the room sizes and whatnot predetermined somehow or is it up to the player to make the dungeon layout?

I want to get the big book version of Across a thousand dead worlds. It’s pretty pricy, though!

No, the rooms are constructed “as you go” with dice rolls, and then populated with dungeon features, traps, enemies, etc, with rolls on tables.
Interesting stuff. Is there a rule for "wandering monsters" or can Jocelyn go back to the empty first room and safely rest?
