Would you like a FREE hardback version of "Choir of Flesh"
If you follow my posts, you’ll know I talked about blasting past 1000 subscribers earlier this week.
As I said then—but it bears repeating—I’m grateful for every single person who follows, reads, likes, comments and restacks. But I have a special affection for subscribers—because you trust me with your email address and allow me into your inbox with my Substack ramblings.
I had a quick flash of inspiration 💡earlier today! Yes, I know… that doesn’t happen very often 😇
How about a FREE giveaway to mark 1000 subscribers?
Here’s the background. I backed Choir of Flesh on Kickstarter last year. The game was fulfilled, and Alex duly sent out the PDF to backers.
I “forgot” that I’d backed at the top tier, which meant I would eventually get the limited-edition deluxe version. So I ordered the hardback DriveThru version using the “print at cost” code that Alex supplied as part of the Kickstarter.
A couple of months later, the deluxe version arrived! So now I have TWO versions of the game on my shelf, when I obviously really only need one!
So, I’m going to give away the standard hardback version to one of my subscribers.

I’m not going to pick a random email from 1000 subscribers when, let’s be honest, a good chunk of those folks never comment or probably even read my posts anymore.
I want this game to go to someone who has shared this journey with me.
So, if you’d like this copy of Choir of Flesh, all you need to do is comment on this post. It doesn’t matter how you comment, although it’s nice if you can be complimentary 😊
Being funny or witty is even better…😛
But don’t use too many brain cells thinking up a clever response. It’s going to be completely random!
I’ll assign a number to every comment, and use an online random number generator to pick the winner. I’ll then get in contact with you to figure out how we can get your Choir of Flesh to you—and we’ll get the book winging its way to you. I’ll even pay for the postage from my end (Any import taxes that might apply will have to be YOURS to deal with, I’m afraid)
If you’re unsure about what Choir of Flesh is, then read the first part of my Three-Act Play to get a sense of what it’s about. Basically, it’s a typically crunchy Alex T game with loads of mechanics, tables, oracles, lore and—naturally—very much geared towards solo play.
It’s a great game, and you can tell the love that Alex T has poured into the project, so if you think it’s something you would enjoy, then by all means, enter. Make some sort of comment in the comment thread below, and you’re in—it’s as simple as that.
Good luck, folks!

Congrats on 1000! I did the math and I'll reach 1000 subscribers on the back end of the year 2076. So close!
Congratulations on the subscribers. To have a physical copy of a game rather than all PDFs would be a change.
